More Than Junk Removal. A Better Way to Clear Space.
At Moon Junk Removal, we believe a cleaner home and a healthier community should go hand in hand. We’re a locally operated, veteran-owned junk removal company serving Colorado Springs and surrounding Front Range communities, with a practical commitment to reuse, recycling, donation, and responsible disposal.
Our mission is simple: make the heavy lifting easy for you while giving usable belongings and recyclable materials a better chance at a second life.

We handle the lifting, loading, and next steps.
Because “Throw It Away” Shouldn’t Be the Only Option.
Every cleanup has a story. It might be a family downsizing, a homeowner making room for a new chapter, or a business clearing out equipment that no longer fits. The easy answer is to treat everything as trash. We believe there is often a more thoughtful answer.
Furniture may still be useful. Cardboard and certain metals may be recyclable. Appliances and electronics may need special handling. We look at the material, its condition, and the practical options available before deciding where it should go.
That approach takes attention, but it matters. Reusing an item can extend its useful life. Recycling suitable materials can conserve resources. And proper disposal helps protect the places where we live, work, and raise our families.
We don’t promise that every item can be donated or recycled. We promise to take those possibilities seriously and communicate honestly about what is practical.
See How It Works →Four Ways We Work Toward Less Waste.
Recycle What We Can
We look for appropriate recycling routes for eligible cardboard, scrap metal, and other accepted materials. Local facility rules, contamination, and material type determine what can actually be recycled.
Give Usable Items a Chance
When belongings are in good condition and a donation partner can accept them, donation may keep those items useful instead of sending them directly into the waste stream.
Dispose Responsibly
Not everything has a second life. For damaged, contaminated, or restricted materials, we prioritize appropriate disposal options rather than making promises we cannot keep.
Make Each Pickup Count
Clear photos and an accurate item list help us plan space in the truck, bring the right equipment, and reduce unnecessary surprises on pickup day.
Care About Our Backyard
Colorado’s trails, neighborhoods, foothills, and open spaces deserve respect. We want the work we do every day to reflect that responsibility.
Donation, recycling, and landfill diversion depend on item condition, facility acceptance, and available local options. No fixed diversion percentage is claimed.

Veteran-Owned. Values-Driven.
Our roots in military service influence how we approach every job: show up prepared, communicate clearly, respect people’s property, and finish what we start.
We believe in opportunities for veterans and in supporting the military community that is such an important part of Colorado Springs. The discipline, teamwork, and accountability learned through service belong in civilian business, too.
We Believe in Backing Veterans.
Being veteran-owned is more than a label on a truck. It is a commitment to treating people with dignity and building a company where service, reliability, and hard work mean something.
We value veterans’ experience and welcome veteran applicants as our team grows. We also believe supporting veterans means showing up for the wider military-connected community: listening, making connections, and recognizing the unique challenges of moving from military life into civilian work.
Whether we’re helping a military family prepare for a move or clearing out a longtime resident’s garage, we want customers to feel confident that their project is in capable, respectful hands.

Respect for Your Time
We use a 60-minute arrival window and send an ETA text, so you’re not left guessing when the truck will arrive.
Clear Communication
We ask about the items, access, and scope of work up front. If a project has special disposal needs, we want to talk through them before loading.
Real Heavy Lifting
From bulky furniture to full cleanouts, our goal is to make an overwhelming project feel manageable, organized, and straightforward.
“The best cleanup doesn’t just make a room look better. It helps us be more thoughtful about what happens next.”
Talk to Our Team →A Practical Approach to Reuse & Disposal.
We start by learning what needs to go. Photos help us identify bulky items, possible donation candidates, and materials that might require a specialized recycling or disposal facility.
On pickup day, we assess what is actually there. Usable items may be candidates for donation if an organization accepts them. Recyclable materials may be routed to suitable facilities when practical. Remaining waste is disposed of through appropriate channels.
Some items cannot be accepted for donation or recycling because of damage, safety rules, contamination, or local limitations. That’s why we avoid claiming that every load is landfill-free. Our aim is to make responsible decisions, not to sell a perfect-sounding story.
Help us help the environment
Before your appointment, separate any items you believe are still usable, point out electronics or batteries, and tell us about paints, chemicals, or other potentially restricted materials.
There is no need to do all the heavy lifting yourself. A few details up front can help us choose the best plan for your pickup.
How to Prepare →Questions About Our Mission.
Does Moon Junk Removal recycle everything it collects?
No. We look for practical recycling options, but acceptance depends on the type and condition of the material and on local facilities. We do not claim a universal recycling rate.
Can you donate my furniture?
Potentially. Clean, usable items may qualify, depending on condition and whether a donation organization is accepting them. Please tell us about any items you hope to donate.
Are you a veteran-owned company?
Yes. Moon Junk Removal is veteran-owned, and our approach emphasizes reliability, accountability, and respect.
Do you hire veterans?
We value veteran experience and welcome veterans who are interested in opportunities with our company. Hiring availability varies, so contact us to ask about current openings.
