Trash Piling Up?
We’ll Haul It Away.
Too much trash for your bins? Bags left after a move? A garage, rental, or property buried in unwanted garbage? Moon Junk Removal offers convenient one-time trash removal in Colorado Springs—including loading, hauling and appropriate disposal of accepted materials.
When your regular garbage service isn’t enough.
Weekly trash pickup is designed for normal household waste that fits into a bin. But big projects can leave more than your cart can handle: dozens of filled bags, leftover packing material, damaged household goods, move-out trash and accumulated debris.
That’s where Moon comes in. Instead of renting a dumpster or making several trips to a transfer station, schedule a one-time removal for your qualifying trash pile. Tell us what you have, where it’s located, and how much needs to go. We’ll discuss access, disposal requirements, and a clear estimate before work begins.
Ideal for a one-time cleanup
- Trash bags that exceed your regular cart capacity
- Accumulated garage and basement garbage
- Household trash after a move
- Rental and apartment turnover trash
- Loose nonhazardous debris and mixed cleanup piles, subject to acceptance
- Bulk packaging waste after deliveries or events

Trash removal vs. junk removal: what’s the difference?
One-Time Trash Removal
Best when the problem is a quantity of garbage, trash bags, packaging and mixed nonhazardous waste that won’t fit your normal pickup.
- Overflow bagged garbage
- Move-out and turnover trash
- Excess packaging and debris
- One-time pile cleanup
General Junk Removal
Best when the main problem is unwanted objects and bulky possessions such as furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, and household items.
- Old couches, tables and dressers
- Mattresses and large items
- Appliances and household clutter
- Multi-room property cleanouts
Both services use Moon’s hauling crew. This page focuses specifically on excess trash and garbage pickup rather than broader bulky-item removal.
What can go in your trash removal load?
Commonly eligible for review
- Normal dry, nonhazardous household trash
- Securely tied garbage bags
- Cardboard, paper and clean packing material
- Discarded general household packaging
- Accepted cleanup debris from apartments and homes
- Approved commercial nonhazardous trash
Not accepted / special handling
- Paint, solvents, pesticides, fuels and hazardous chemicals
- Medical sharps, biohazards and infectious waste
- Uncontained liquids, unknown substances or leaking containers
- Asbestos or suspected asbestos-containing debris
- Hot ashes, explosives and pressurized hazardous containers
- Items requiring special disposal without prior approval
Important: Do not mix hazardous items into ordinary trash bags. For electronics, tires, appliances, construction debris or heavy materials, contact us before booking—those may need a separate service or disposal plan. Check What We Take for more information.
How much does trash removal cost?
One-time trash pickup is quoted based on the volume of material, its weight, the type of waste, how accessible it is, and applicable disposal costs. A pile of lightweight bagged trash can require very different handling than a load of dense, wet or contaminated material.
When requesting your estimate, tell us the approximate number of bags, whether anything is loose or oversized, and whether the trash is at the curb, inside, upstairs or behind a gate. Photos help us assess your job faster.
No invented flat-rate promises: We’ll review your load and communicate pricing before you approve the work. Ask about minimum service charges when booking.
What helps us estimate accurately?
- Approximate number and size of trash bags
- Photos showing the entire pile
- Any loose trash or very heavy containers
- Stairs, tight hallways, long carries or gated access
- Whether the load contains recyclables or special items
- Preferred date and property ZIP code

Trash removal FAQs
Do you offer regular weekly trash collection?
No. Moon focuses on scheduled one-time pickups and haul-away jobs for excess garbage and qualifying debris. For a recurring household cart service, contact your local curbside trash provider.
Will you pick up trash bags that don’t fit in my garbage bin?
Yes, we can review excess tied bags and ordinary nonhazardous household trash. Tell us the approximate number of bags and what’s inside so we can confirm acceptance and pricing.
Can you remove loose trash that isn’t bagged?
Possibly. Let us know what the material is and send pictures. Loose trash may require additional labor, containment or a different quote.
Do I have to bring all the trash to the curb?
Not necessarily. We offer loading and haul-away. Tell us if the trash is inside a home, garage, basement, or upstairs, as access and labor can affect your estimate.
How much does a one-time trash pickup cost?
Quotes depend on amount, weight, material type, distance, access, and disposal needs. Call or send photos for a job-specific estimate. Minimum charges may apply.
Can you clean up trash after tenants move out?
We can discuss one-time garbage cleanup for landlords, apartments, rentals and property managers. Clearly identify which items should remain and which should be hauled away.
Can you take commercial trash?
We can review nonhazardous commercial overflow, packaging and other approved loads. Hazardous, regulated and certain specialty waste is not part of routine pickup.
Do you take furniture mixed into a trash pile?
Yes, many bulky household items can be handled as part of a broader junk removal job. Mention couches, mattresses, appliances or heavy items in advance so we can provide the right quote.
Do you take food waste or wet garbage?
Contact us before booking. Wet, leaking, decomposing, or potentially contaminated waste can require special handling or may be declined. Never conceal hazardous or unsafe contents in bags.
Do you take paint, batteries, chemicals or hazardous waste?
No, ordinary trash service does not include hazardous materials. Keep those items separate and use an authorized household hazardous waste or specialty disposal provider.
Can you come the same day?
Ask about your preferred date. Same-day availability depends on the schedule, crew capacity, and load details and is not guaranteed.
What is the fastest way to get a quote?
Call (719) 453-8211 or text photos showing the full pile, estimated quantity and access conditions. Include your ZIP code and timing preference.
